Lost Brothers and Sisters

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.

Picture
Rhoda Evelyn Karns, age 58, of St. Anthony, formerly of Atlantic, passed away at home on Sunday, November 8, 2020 with her family by her side.
Rhoda was born on January 27, 1962 in Atlantic, IA to parents Duane and Dorothy Darrow.  She deeply loved her family and friends. She enjoyed motorcycle rides and was an active member of ABATE for many years. She met her husband, Kim, through her love of motorcycles and they were married on July 13, 2013. Rhoda was an active collector of elephants and anything Harley Davidson. She had a knack for making anyone feel welcome and you always knew where you stood with her. Her smile and sense of humor were contagious. Rhoda was an extremely hard worker. She may have been a small woman, but her personality and heart could easily fill any room.

She is survived by her husband, Kim Karns; her children: Crystal (Trent) Cappel and Corey (Stormie) Kuhns; step-daughter Jill (Travis) Hollander; grandchildren: Tenley and Tate Cappel; step-grandchildren: Avery, Audra and Andie; her siblings: Trish, Joy, David and Jim and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rhoda is preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Kuhns, her parents, Duane and Dorothy Darrow and brother Mark Darrow.

Rhoda was not a big fan of being photographed, this was a sneaky
one from the District 6 meeting in February 2015 in Chelsea
She thought this was just of Kim
