​Perry Hanson, 58
Passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at Allen Hospital in Waterloo.
Steve "Maddog" Rector 
 August 31, 1953 ~ July 14, 2014

Steve was a life time Member of ABATE District 6. 
He had served ABATE of Iowa as both 

District 6 Coordinator and State Coordinator.  At the time of his death was serving as ABATE of Iowa State Officer/Ex-Officio

      Larry "Hump" Werner 
        1940 ~ 2013

 Janna Sue Rankin
Died November 2nd,  she was 50 years old.

Janna lost her battle with brain cancer on Nov. 2nd.  Janna and her husband Chris were both current members of ABATE of Iowa District 6, even though time didn't allow them to be very active the last year.  Janna worked at Lennox  Industries for 15 years retiring in 2009 due to her health.  Janna served our country honorably in the Iowa National Guard for 8 years, was a member of the local UAW #893, served on the UAW Veterans Committee, and was a member 
of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

Craig H. Buffington  
Died July 31, 2010,  he was 62 years old.

Craig  was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He
 lived most of his life in Marshalltown retiring from Fisher Controls after 30 years. Craig liked to ride and
 was a member of ABATE District 6.

Terry L. Christoffer
Died July 25, 2010

Terry was 41 years old when he died and was a member of ABATE, he loved to ride. He
 was a hard worker and was a man that made himself available when others needed help.  He liked to camp, fish and spend time with family and friends.  Most of all he loved his daughter.




John E. Groenenboom
Died on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, he was 44 years old. 

John died at his home following a sudden illness.
Duane "Grumpy" Foumal
Died December 5, 2009. 

Duane  was on the road delivering a load in Michigan when he fell ill and passed quite suddenly.  He was a good son, an avid biker, and a great trucker.

Kenny Hitchings
Passed away on 11/05/2008.


Kenny worked for many years at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown and then transferred to the Iowa State Training School from which he retired.  Kenny was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.  Kenny grew up in the Zearing area and was a small (i.e. Little Kenny or just Hitch), soft spoken man who enjoyed life and riding.  He was also a former member of ABATE.

Merrill Vileta 
Died on Friday June 20th, 2008. He was 68 years old.

Merrill spent many a day riding into the wind on his Harleys.  One bike he was especially proud of was his 1948 Indian Chief.  Merrill will be missed by his friends, his family and his ABATE Brotherhood.

Paul Michael
Taken on August 1, 2007

Paul was taken from us in a traffic accident west of Toledo. 
Paul was a U.S. Marine, a police officer, a husband and a father. Paul was a member of the Patriot Guard and Rolling Thunder and was a life member of ABATE District 6. 


Michael Geyman
September 6, 1965 - July 28, 2006


Michael was a musician who enjoyed life to the fullest, especially when he was playing his drums and while riding his much beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Tate G. Snyder
September 30, 1959 - June 07, 2006
 
Tate was employed at the Iowa Veterans Home as a utility worker and a nurses aid at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. He was a loved and loving husband who every five years would romantically propose again to his wife of 20 years, Patsy, and they would renew their vows. 
He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, helping others with anything, building things, working with motors and especially motorcycles. He will be greatly missed by many..

Kent Kroeger March 10, 1964 -July 04, 2020
Kent Kroeger, 56, of LeGrand, Iowa, formerly of Marshalltown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2020 while on vacation at Whitewater Lake in Wisconsin. Kent was born March 10, 1964 in to parents Leo and Marilyn (Martens) Kroeger. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1982. He worked at Interface Sealing Solutions. To say Kent was a motorcycle enthusiast was an understatement. He loved his Indian motorcycle and was a member and supporter of ABATE.
